Ventura, CA (February 9, 2023) – One man was rushed to an area hospital following a traffic accident that took place in the Ventura area on Thursday morning. Calls for assistance were received by the California Highway Patrol just after 9:40 a.m. on February 9.
According to law enforcement, a white SUV and a red Chevrolet Cruze collided on Highway 101 along the southbound side of the roadway. The Ventura County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident and blocked off multiple lanes near the on-ramp for Johnson Drive.
One man suffered severe injuries, including significant lacerations to the head, as a result of the accident. The man was rushed to an area hospital for further care.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the accident.
