McFarland, CA (February 10, 2023) – A fatal car accident reported in the McFarland area claimed one woman’s life early Thursday morning. The crash was reported on February 9 to area officials.

Reports provided by the California Highway Patrol show that a 69-year-old woman was driving through the intersection of Sherwood Avenue and Driver Road. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a second vehicle, which was driven by 51-year-old Johnny Carmona Rivas.

The woman was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The California Highway Patrol pronounced her deceased at the scene. Rivas was not injured in the accident.

The circumstances surrounding the motor vehicle collision are currently being investigated.
