Tehachapi, CA (February 15, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol was called to provide assistance at the scene of a crash on Wednesday afternoon, February 15, that resulted in one fatality.
At around 2:10 p.m., troopers were notified that an automobile accident had occurred on Willow Springs Road. Preliminary reports provided by CHP show that the collision involved two vehicles and took place near Highline Road in Tehachapi.
Firefighters with the Kern County fire Department responded to the scene to provide assistance.
At least one person was fatally injured in the crash. Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
One victim was transported to an area hospital for medical care.
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
