Fresno, CA (February 16, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that took place in Fresno County that resulted in injuries.
The accident was reported at around 8:00 a.m. on February 15.
According to reports provided by California Highway Patrol, a school bus was traveling east on Belmont Avenue while en route to the school. The vehicle collided with a second vehicle near the intersection of Grant Avenue. Police reports indicate that the driver of the second vehicle failed to stop at the intersection and, as a result, the vehicle broadsided the bus.
The impact of the collision caused the bus to roll over and slide down the roadway approximately 40 feet before landing back onto its wheels.
The driver of the bus suffered injuries as a result of the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the collision.
