Modesto, CA (February 16, 2023) – A crash involving a hit-and-run driver took place on Wednesday evening in Modesto that left one person injured. At around 7:00 p.m. on February 15, the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to a crash on California State Route 99.
Preliminary reports indicate that a collision involving two vehicles occurred on the northbound side of the interstate. The incident caused delays on the roadway just south of West Taylor Road.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene without stopping.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and secured off the roadway near the on-ramp for West Taylor Road. Emergency crews provided care to one person who suffered injuries. The victim was then transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
