Oakland, CA (February 16, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Old City that ended in injuries on Tuesday morning, February 14.
At around 9:15 p.m., authorities were notified that an automobile accident had taken place on Interstate 980.
According to officials, a collision between vehicles occurred on the westbound side of the interstate. Authorities arrived at the scene and secured multiple lanes near 12th Street as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
At least one person involved in the accident required medical treatment for the injuries they suffered. The victims were treated at the scene and transported to area hospitals for further care.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
