Car Accidents in California
Every day, car accidents are reported in California that have devastating consequences on the lives of those involved. Thousands of people are hospitalized on a monthly basis with severe trauma to the head, spinal cord injuries, and other life-changing injuries that demand timely and costly medical care.
The unfortunate truth is that many accidents that we see occur as a result of negligence. When drivers are under the influence, distracted, or otherwise reckless, they can cause severe injuries to innocent people. After being hurt in a crash, you may have some legal options available to help you. Filing a personal injury case is one of the most common approaches when it comes to seeking compensation and justice after a crash.
A car accident lawsuit can help you seek full compensation for a variety of damages that you face consequent to your accident. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lost earnings
- Costs of medical care
- Reduced quality of life
- Lost wages
- Costs of medical care
- Costs associated with ongoing treatment
- Damaged property costs
To recover the maximum possible compensation for your case, you must be able to prove the elements of negligence existed at the time of the accident. This is done by proving the following:
- The other driver owed you a duty of care
- The driver breached the duty
- The breach caused the accident to occur
- You suffered damages
A car accident lawyer in Oakland can help prove the elements and demand full compensation for all of the damages that you face.
