Placerville, CA (February 17, 2023) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that left at least one person with injuries on Thursday evening.

The accident was reported to CHP at 6:30 p.m. on February 16.

According to local authorities, a white Subaru Impreza and a second vehicle collided on the northbound side of Auburn Folsom Road. The incident blocked the roadway near the intersection of Eureka Road at the driveway of a local smoke shop.

CHP and firefighters blocked off the roadway as they provided assistance at the scene.

One ambulance was dispatched to treat victims on-site and transport those in need of further care to area hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation by authorities at this time.
