Bakersfield, CA (February 18, 2023) – At least one person was hospitalized as a result of a crash involving two vehicles that took place on Friday afternoon in the Bakersfield area.
At around 3:00 p.m. on February 17, the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a crash on California State Route 99.
Reports from CHP show that a blue Toyota Camry and a black Chrysler 300 collided on the northbound side of SR-99. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near Pacheco Road.
Two tow trucks responded to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles. CHP and firefighters worked to remove the debris from the roadway.
At least one person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for medical care.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
