Los Angeles, CA (February 18, 2023) – The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a car crash that occurred early Thursday morning, February 16.
At around 1:00 a.m., LAPD officers were called to provide assistance at the scene of a crash on Roscoe Boulevard.
Reports from authorities show that a dark-gray SUV and a black sedan collided on Roscoe Boulevard at the intersection of Lindley Avenue. The incident caused severe delays in the area after authorities closed off the roadway.
The driver and passenger in the SUV fled the scene of the accident on foot. The driver was later apprehended by the police.
The driver of the sedan sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The victim was immediately pronounced deceased on-site.
At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
