Shasta County, CA (February 18, 2023) – Authorities in Shasta County have confirmed that 29-year-old Kobra Peralta has died as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday evening.
At around 5:00 p.m. on February 12, the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a major crash that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
Reports show that an SUV was traveling near the Anderson outlets when it became involved in a collision on Interstate 5 near Deschutes Road. AS a result of the crash, the SUV rolled over.
Peralta, who was in the SUV at the time of the crash, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other victims were flown by helicopter to area hospitals for emergency care.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
