Davis, CA (February 19, 2023) – A motorcyclist has died as a result of a vehicle accident that took place in Yolo County on Saturday evening.
Calls for assistance came in at around 6:42 p.m. on February 18th regarding a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 80.
Preliminary investigations show that a motorcycle and a second vehicle collided on the westbound side of the roadway. Authorities arrived at the scene and secured the road near Mace Boulevard as they provided assistance to the injured victims.
Despite medical attention provided to the victims at the scene, the motorcyclist ended up passing away as a result of their injuries. The victim has not yet been identified to the public.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
