Monterey, CA (February 19, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place in Monterey on Saturday afternoon. That left at least one person injured. Calls for help were received on February 18th at approximately 3:55 p.m.
According to reports provided by the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was involved in a collision with a motorcycle on California State Route 1 in the area of Springfield Road. The incident prompted officials to close off multiple lanes in the area as they provided care at the scene.
The motorcyclist suffered injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was treated at the scene of the accident by emergency medical service personnel. The victim was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation.
