Contra Costa Co, CA (February 19, 2023) – On Saturday, February 19, a deadly car accident in Contra Costa County was reported on Interstate 680. 

Local reports indicated that a Tesla reportedly collided with a fire engine on the interstate at around 9:28 a.m. The driver was killed in the collision, and the passenger was extricated by emergency responders before being transferred to a local hospital. All lanes on the highway were shut down following the incident. 

No further updates have been made public at this time. 

Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the deadly crash.
