San Jose, CA (February 20, 2023) – A California Highway Patrol spokeswoman has confirmed that one person has lost their life following a pedestrian accident that occurred early Sunday morning, February 19.
According to officials, at around 4:50 A.m., a person was struck by a southbound vehicle on Highway 87. Authorities arrived at the scene and blocked off the roadway just south of Curtner Avenue.
The pedestrian was located on-site, suffering from significant injuries. Despite the best efforts of emergency medical services, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
