Fatal Accidents in California

Anaheim, CA – Woman Loses Life in Car Crash near Pearson Park on Harbor BlvdAccidents in the state of California take the lives of thousands of people every year. Unfortunately, the vast majority of accidents take place due to negligence. Although uncommon, there are instances where people end up suffering fatal injuries and accidents due to the negligence of the property owner. One type of accident, in particular, involves when trees or other large objects from properties fall on vehicles and take the lives of innocent people inside.

In California, people who lose their lives as a result of accidents of this nature often leave friends and families behind to grieve. After enduring the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one, your family may have legal options available.

Premises liability laws in California allow families to seek financial compensation for funeral costs, property damage, and a variety of other damages they face after losing loved ones and accidents. In order to prevail, you must be able to demonstrate that the property owner was negligently maintaining their premise. It is important to note that even public entities can be held liable for the resulting damages that your family faces. However, if a public entity, such as a local government body, is liable for the accident, you have a very short statute of limitations to take legal action.

Filing a wrongful death claim can help you obtain financial compensation and get justice for your loved one.
