Huntington Beach, CA (February 21, 2023) – One person was ejected from their vehicle, and one person became trapped following an automobile accident that took place on Sunday evening in Huntington Beach.
At around 10:40 p.m. on February 19, the Huntington Beach Fire Department and police responded to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on Gothard Street.
Reports from authorities show that a vehicle collision occurred on Gothard Street and the area of McFadden Avenue during the evening hours. The impact of the crash caused a silver 1998 Toyota 4Runner to overturn.
One person involved in the crash was ejected. A second victim became trapped inside. Authorities rushed to the scene of the accident and worked to extricate the trapped victim.
A total of five people were injured as a result of the accident. All five victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency care. Two victims were admitted with severe injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
