Sylmar, CA (February 20, 2023) – On Saturday night, February 18, one person was killed and two others injured following a car accident in the Sylmar area.
The fatal accident occurred at the 11900 block of Lopez Canyon Road at around 6:55 p.m. Two vehicles reportedly collided on the roadway, and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. One person was pronounced dead. Two more were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
The area was temporarily closed for several hours while paramedics were present. The identities of the involved parties have been withheld.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local authorities.
