San Diego, CA (February 22, 2023) – Injuries were reported as a result of an automobile accident that took place in the San Diego area late Tuesday afternoon, February 21.
At around 3:50 p.m., the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle collision that took place on Interstate 805.
Reports provided by authorities show that two vehicles collided on the southbound side of the interstate near South Palm Avenue. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a red Toyota Corolla that had sustained severe damage to the rear. A second vehicle was also located on the roadway.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters immediately blocked off multiple lanes of travel as they provided assistance at the scene.
Emergency medical services were notified that they were needed on-site to provide care to the victims who suffered injuries.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the accident.
