Fatal Car Accidents in California
In California, nearly one-third of all fatal accidents reported every year are a result of drunk or impaired drivers. When drivers are impaired, or under the influence of intoxicants, they are less likely to be able to control their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Unfortunately, innocent people are often forced to pay the consequences.
Losing a loved one in a fatal accident as a result of a drunk driver can be incredibly devastating. These fatal accidents take place far too often in our state, leaving families to deal with the overwhelming financial and emotional impacts.
If your loved one has died as a result of a car crash caused by an impaired driver, your family can take legal action against them. A wrongful death lawyer in Sutter can help you pursue compensation from the responsible driver. Your attorney will be able to build a strong case against the defendant and demand full compensation for funeral expenses, lost earnings, and more. Due to the fact that the driver was impaired at the time of the accident, your family may also be able to recover punitive damages. Seeking legal guidance as soon as possible will provide you with the best chance of getting justice.
