Truckee, CA (February 22, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol responded to a crash that took place on Tuesday evening that left at least one person injured.
Just after 4:00 p.m. on February 21, calls for help were received regarding an automobile accident on California State Route 89.
According to officials, an automobile accident involving a blue Mercedes SUV and a silver pickup truck took place on California State Route 89 at Bridge 5. The incident prompted officials to block off multiple lanes of travel as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
A tow truck was called to the site of the accident to remove at least one vehicle involved.
Paramedics were called to care for the injured victims on-site and transfer them to area hospitals.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
