El Centro, CA (February 23, 2023) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to provide assistance at the scene of an accident on Monday evening in Imperial County that left one person injured.
Just after 7:55 p.m. on February 20, troopers were notified that they were needed at the scene of an automobile accident on the Interstate 8 Freeway. According to officials, 36-year-old Jordan Bowen was driving a 2007 Ford free star while traveling east on the freeway. For reasons unknown, his vehicle became involved in a collision with a 2021 Ford box truck near Forrester Road.
The driver of the box truck, 51-year-old Camila Corrales, was not injured in the crash.
Bowen suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was rushed to an El Centro Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted for emergency care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
