Los Angeles, CA (February 23, 2023) – Authorities out of Los Angeles confirmed that one person has died as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in Encino.
At approximately 7:55 p.m. on February 21, the California Highway Patrol was called to provide assistance at the scene of an accident on Highway 101.
Preliminary reports show that a motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a white Ford Explorer on Highway 101, along the eastbound side of the roadway.
Authorities arrived at the scene and blocked off the road near Balboa Boulevard.
One person in the accident suffered severe injuries in the accident. Despite medical attention rendered to the victim, they passed away from their injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
