Thermal, CA (February 23, 2023) – On February 22, the California Highway Patrol was notified that an automobile accident took place in Thermal that sent two people to area hospitals with injuries.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., authorities were notified that two vehicles collided on Tyler Avenue at the intersection with 66th Avenue. The two vehicles both sustained significant damage due to the accident.
The police and firefighters responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Firefighters worked with authorities to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
Two people suffered injuries as a result of the accident. One victim was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital for emergency care. The second victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating to determine what caused this accident to take place.
