Fresno, CA (February 25, 2023) – Authorities in Fresno confirmed that 57-year-old Jorge Martinez Escalante and 57-year-old Guadalupe Lopez Bororquez have died as a result of an accident that took place on Sunday afternoon, February 19.
The accident was reported at around three p.m. to the California Highway Patrol.
Preliminary reports show that a sedan was involved in a collision with a train, which was traveling north through the area of Conejo Avenue and peach Avenue.
As a result of the crash, both Bororquez and Escalante suffered fatal injuries. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Nobody on the train suffered any injuries.
The circumstances surrounding this fatal accident are currently being investigated.
