Truck Accidents in California
Every day, we see big rigs and commercial vehicles flood roadways across our state. These vehicles are incredibly valuable when it comes to building our economy and delivering goods across the state. Unfortunately, in the event that they are involved in accidents, the results can be catastrophic. Every year, thousands of people across California are left injured as a result of accidents involving trucks and commercial vehicles.
There are many cases where these accidents are a result of negligence. Truck drivers who are too drowsy may fall asleep and crash into other vehicles nearby. In addition, we see many truck accidents take place as a result of speeding, weaving between traffic, and failing to yield.
When innocent people are harmed as a result of truck accidents, they often have the ability to take legal action. After suffering injuries in an accident, you can file a lawsuit against the responsible party. Truck accidents tend to be more complex to deal with from a legal standpoint. This is due to the fact that several parties may be held liable for any resulting injuries and damages. After a truck accident, you may be able to file a claim against:
- The driver of the truck.
- The owner of the truck.
- The trucking company.
- The cargo loading company.
- Any company in charge of maintaining the truck.
- Any part manufacturer.
