Car Accidents in California
Vehicle collisions often cause devastating consequences for their victims. Unfortunately, every year tens of thousands of people in our state require medical attention after being injured by careless motorists. Some of the most common causes of vehicular accidents in California are:
- Impairment: Because of their impairment, drunk or drugged drivers are more prone to lose control of their vehicles and cause accidents. Driving while impaired might impair your color perception and judgment.
- Inattention: Distracted driving is dangerous because it increases the risk of an accident involving another car or pedestrian. When you aren’t paying attention to the road in front of you, you miss out on noticing signs, vehicles, and other crucial information that could help you reach your destination safely.
- Failure to yield at intersections: In California, cars must give the right of way to oncoming traffic at certain times, especially when approaching or crossing at intersections. Accidents involving careless drivers have the potential to cause serious injury to bystanders.
