San Francisco, CA – Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at I-80 E & 8th St

San Francisco, CA (February 26, 2023) – At 5:55 a.m. on February 25, the San Francisco Police Department and firefighters were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a multi-vehicle accident that was reported in the South of Market area.

According to law enforcement, multiple vehicles collided on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 during the early morning hours. The incident prompted police and firefighters to close off multiple eastbound lanes in the area of 8th Street.

Dozens of people suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Multiple first responders reported to the scene to care for the victims. A total of three victims were then transported to area hospitals for further care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
