Dublin, CA (February 27, 2023) – Just before 4:10 p.m. on February 26, troopers with the California Highway Patrol received a notification that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Interstate 680.
Preliminary reports show that two vehicles collided on the southbound side of the interstate during the evening hours. The incident prompted CHP to close off multiple lanes of travel on the roadway near the off-ramp for Sycamore Valley Road.
Firefighters and area police responded to clear the damaged vehicles from the road. Tow trucks responded to remove the vehicles from the scene of the accident as the police worked to remove the debris from the lanes of travel.
The individuals who were injured received aid from emergency medical services. Those patients who required further medical assistance were then taken to nearby hospitals in an ambulance.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
