Long Beach, CA (February 27, 2023) – One person was left injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Saturday evening in the Long Beach area. At around 10:35 p.m. on February 25, the California Highway Patrol was notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a collision on 710 Freeway.

Reports from CHP indicate that four vehicles collided on the southbound side of the freeway. The incident prompted officials to shut down multiple lanes near the 91 Freeway as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the active lanes of travel.

One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim was treated at the scene briefly by responding EMS personnel and transported to Long Beach Memorial for further care.

The California Highway Patrol out of Long Beach has an active investigation into the accident to determine the cause.
