Ontario, CA (February 26, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that 78-year-old Edward Garcia, Jr. of San Bernardino, has died as a result of the motor vehicle accident that took place in Ontario on Tuesday, February 21.
At approximately 12:20 a.m., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of an accident with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol.
According to officials, a 2011 Honda Civic was entering the 60 Freeway when the vehicle became involved in a collision with a 2014 Toyota Camry in the area near Grove Avenue.
Multiple victims suffered injuries in the accident. Emergency medical services provided aid to a 56-year-old woman injured in the accident.
A second victim, identified as Garcia, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The police are currently investigating to determine what caused the accident to occur.
