Fatal Car Accidents in California

Fillmore, CA – Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 126 near Cavin Rd Takes One LifeEvery year, thousands of accidents take the lives of innocent people across California. People can suffer fatal injuries in collisions across our state for a variety of reasons. We see many accidents take place as a result of negligent motorists. Some of the most common contributing factors surrounding fatal crashes in our state include:

  • Impairment: Even though there are regulations in place to prevent drunk drivers from getting behind the wheel, some still do so, often resulting in tragic consequences for other motorists.
  • Distractions: Several individuals have been hurt in car accidents caused by drivers who were texting or talking on their phones at the time of the collision, a trend that has increased dramatically over the past decade due to the rapid development of new technologies. Distracted driving makes it difficult, if not impossible, to maintain control of a vehicle in time to avoid an accident.
  • Speeding: Many of the accidents that occur in our state can be attributed to drivers who were going faster than the law allowed. The consequences of speeding can be devastating for other people, especially in bad weather.

If you have lost a loved one as a result of another driver engaging in a reckless or negligent action while operating their vehicle, you must seek the assistance of a wrongful death lawyer in Fillmore as soon as possible.
