Oakland, CA (February 28, 2023) – One vehicle reportedly fled the scene following a motor vehicle accident in the Longfellow section of Oakland that left at least one person injured on Monday morning, February 27.
The Oakland Police Department was notified at approximately 4:40 a.m. that a motor vehicle accident occurred on West MacArthur Boulevard.
According to officials, a collision between two vehicles occurred on West MacArthur Boulevard in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Way. One of the vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene before the police arrived.
Injuries were confirmed as a result of this crash. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for the victims and to transfer them to local hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
