Signal Hill, CA (March 1, 2023) – A motorcyclist was left injured as a result of a car crash that took place in the Signal Hill area on Tuesday morning, February 28.

Calls for help were received at approximately 6:58 a.m. regarding an automobile accident on the Interstate 405 freeway.

According to crash reports provided by the California Highway Patrol, a white Chrysler van and a motorcycle collided on the northbound side of the freeway. The incident prompted the Long Beach Fire Department and CHP to close off multiple lanes near Long Beach Boulevard.

Emergency crews went to work quickly to clear the scene of the accident.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries due to the accident. The victim was rendered aid at the scene by responding paramedics. The victim was then rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical care.

The California Highway Patrol has an active crash investigation underway.
