Car Accidents in California
Automobile accidents occur daily in California. Many of these accidents have an overwhelming impact on the lives of those involved. Regrettably, many accidents take place as a result of drivers who are negligent. Common causes of car crashes in our state include:
- Speeding: When drivers travel too fast, they can lose control of their vehicle and strike others. Unfortunately, we see many people drift into other lanes and crash head-on into cars occupied by innocent motorists, leaving them with serious injuries.
- Intoxication: Drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol can cause severe damage to other vehicles in injuries to those inside. We see thousands of accidents reported in California every year due to drivers who are under the offense of alcohol, impaired by drugs, or otherwise impaired.
- Drowsy driving: Driving a vehicle while too tired can have devastating consequences. We see many drivers fall asleep while behind the wheel and drift into other cars and causing serious injuries and damage.
If you have suffered injuries in a car crash due to the negligence of another driver, you must reach out to a Los Angeles car accident lawyer at once. You may be able to file a claim for compensation. A personal injury lawsuit can help you get money to cover your medical costs, get your vehicle back on the road, and help to alleviate some of the other financial burdens that you face after your accident.
Even though you have a period of two years to file a claim for compensation, it is important that you do so as soon as possible. Waiting to take action can prevent you from having the strongest evidence against the defendant, thus decreasing your chances of maximizing your recovery.
