San Francisco, CA (March 2, 2023) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a car crash that took place in the San Francisco area on Wednesday morning, March 1.

The accident was reported to California Highway Patrol troopers at approximately 9:40 a.m. as their assistance was requested at the scene.

Crash reports provided by the San Francisco Fire Department show that a Mercedes-Benz or a white Audi and a black Tesla Model Y were involved in a collision that blocked the one, two, and three lanes of travel on Highway 101 just past Bayshore Boulevard.

Emergency officials closed off multiple lanes in the area as they provided assistance.

Paramedics treated the victims on-site before transporting them to area hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are actively being investigated by the California Highway Patrol out of San Francisco.
