Pollock Pines, CA (March 4, 2023) – Authorities have confirmed that 83-year-old Marvin Buchmiller of South Lake Tahoe has died as a result of a car crash that took place in El Dorado County on Thursday.
At around 320 p.m. on March 2, California Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene of a car crash on Highway 50.
Reports from authorities show that two vehicles collided on Highway 50 in the area near ice House Road during the late afternoon hours.
California Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene and closed off the highway in both directions. Emergency crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the scene.
One victim, identified as Buchmiller, was fatally injured.
The number of injured parties is not known at this time.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the accident.
