Sacramento, CA (March 4, 2023) – On March 2, troopers with the California Highway Patrol out of Sacramento responded to the scene of a car crash that took place during the afternoon hours and left two people injured.
Calls for help came in at approximately 12:26 p.m.
According to officials, a paratransit van and a second vehicle collided on the northbound side of Highway 51. The car crash prompted emergency services to close off the roadway just south of the off-ramp for Marconi Avenue.
Emergency officials spent a significant amount of time at the scene of the accident as they worked to clear the road and conduct an investigation.
Officials confirm that two people were injured in the accident. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care immediately following the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently being investigated.
