Bicycle Accidents in California

Stanford, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Crash on Campus Dr near Sam McDonald MallBicycle accidents can be incredibly devastating. Like other types of pedestrians, these victims do not have protection during accidents. Even in cases where victims are wearing helmets, they are still at significant risk of suffering severe compound fractures, spinal cord injuries, and even trauma to the head.

Bicyclists are often left with serious injuries as a result of accidents caused by negligent and reckless drivers. We see far too many bicyclists suffer serious injuries as a result of drivers who are speeding, intoxicated, distracted, or engaging in other reckless actions while behind the wheel.

In California, victims of bicycle crashes are able to seek compensation to cover some of the damages that they face. After an accident, victims are able to recover compensation for medical costs, lost wages, and more. The amount of money that they receive will be reduced according to the percentage of fault that they share for the accident.
