San Luis Obispo, CA (March 5, 2023) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of an accident early Saturday evening, March 4, that sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries.

At approximately 4:50 p.m., a collision between vehicles occurred on US Highway 101. Preliminary reports show that a collision between a black Acura SUV, a BMW, and a black Toyota RAV4 occurred on the southbound side of US Highway 101.

Authorities rushed to the scene of the accident and closed off multiple lanes in the area just south of the off-ramp for South Tefft Street.

Several tow trucks were requested at the scene of the accident to provide assistance with the removal of the damaged vehicles. Authorities remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove debris.

Emergency medical services rendered aid to injured victims and transported them to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated at this time.
