San Francisco, CA (March 6, 2023) – A car crash reported near the treasure Island area in San Francisco sent at least one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. The accident was reported just before 9:40 a.m. on March 5.
According to officials, a white sedan and a second vehicle collided on the eastbound side of Interstate 80. The incident prompted California Highway Patrol troopers and area firefighters to close off lanes three, four, and five on the eastbound side of the road near Treasure Island.
Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove the debris from the road. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
At least one person suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
