Oroville, CA (March 7, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an auto accident that occurred in the Oroville area that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries.
At around 8:30 a.m. on March 7, calls for help were received regarding an auto accident on Autrey Lane.
Reports from authorities show that a Toyota Matrix struck a pedestrian in Autrey Lane in the area of Las Plumas Avenue. The vehicle then fled the scene of the accident without stopping.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene of the crash to render aid to the victim. The pedestrian was then transported to a local hospital for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
