Pedestrian Accidents in California
Every day, pedestrians are injured as a result of accidents in the state of California. Quite often, victims suffered debilitating injuries due to driver negligence. Speeding, distracted driving, and drivers who fail to yield continue to be leading factors in pedestrian accidents across our state and across the nation. Unfortunately, pedestrians have no protection during accidents. As a result, they are likely to suffer injuries that leave them with permanent disabilities. Spinal cord injuries, the loss of limbs, and severe cuts and lacerations are just some of the injuries reported frequently in pedestrian accidents across our state.
If another driver’s negligent or reckless actions have caused you harm, you may be able to pursue legal action. After your accident, filing a personal injury claim can provide you with financial relief. This type of claim can provide you with the money that you need for your medical expenses, lost wages, long-term care expenses, and more.
When filing a personal injury claim, you must be able to demonstrate negligence existed at the time of the crash. This involves proving that the driver owed you a duty of care, the driver breached the duty, the breach of the duty caused the crash, and you suffered injuries and damages as a result. To provide yourself with the best chance of proving your case, an Oceanside pedestrian accident lawyer will be able to help you gather the strongest evidence and build your case against the defendant. It is crucial to act quickly to protect your legal rights in order to ensure you have the strongest case possible.
