San Jose, CA (March 8, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident was reported in the San Jose area on Tuesday afternoon that sent at least one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. The crash was reported at around 3:30 p.m. on March 7.
According to preliminary investigations, a gray Toyota, a gold Honda Odyssey, and a third vehicle collided on the northbound side of Interstate 280. The incident prompted California Highway Patrol troopers to close off the roadway just south of California State Route 17.
Multiple tow trucks were requested to provide assistance with the removal of the damaged vehicles. Emergency crews worked to remove debris from the lanes of the road.
Medical personnel was requested at the scene to care for the injured victims. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
