Fatal Car Accidents in California
In 2021, over 3800 people died as a result of car crashes in California. These accidents are often caused by drivers who are reckless and negligent. When drivers engage in reckless actions, they directly place the lives of innocent people at risk. Regrettably, intersections are one of the most common locations for accidents in our state. Approximately 50 percent of all accidents statewide occur at busy intersections.
There are several factors that contribute to the high rate of accidents that take place at these locations. One of the leading factors is drivers who run red lights or pass stop signs. When drivers disregard traffic control devices, they can cause serious accidents that leave people with devastating injuries. Unfortunately, passing a stop sign at an intersection can cause a vehicle to T-bone another vehicle, which can lead to serious consequences.
