Woodland, CA (March 7, 2023) – One person was left with serious injuries as a result of a crash that occurred on Monday morning in Yolo County. The accident was reported just after 7:30 a.m. on March 5.
According to officials, two vehicles collided on County Road 99W in the area of Road 95. One of the vehicles involved in the crash went off the road and landed in a ditch. The second vehicle caught on fire after the crash.
The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway for an extended period as they worked to extinguish the fire and remove debris and damaged vehicles from the scene.
One person was seriously injured due to the crash. The victim was rendered aid at the scene briefly by responding paramedics. The victim was then transported to a local hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
