Bakersfield, CA (March 10, 2023) – One person suffered major injuries as a result of an automobile accident took place in the Bakersfield area on Wednesday evening, March 8.
Just after 7:45 p.m., troopers with the California Highway Patrol were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred on Meacham Road.
Reports from CHP surrounding the accident detail that a gardening truck and a motorcycle collided on Meacham Road in the area of Scottsbluff Street.
The incident prompted officials to close off a portion of the roadway while providing assistance.
One person suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed to treat the victim while at the scene. The injured motorist was then transported to a local hospital, where they underwent further care for their major injuries.
California Highway Patrol troopers are currently investigating the crash.
