Los Angeles, CA (March 10, 2023) – A California Highway Patrol officer was left injured as a result of an automobile accident involving two vehicles that took place early Thursday morning in Los Angeles.
At around 12:00 a.m. on March 9, Los Angeles Police Department officers and firefighters were called to the scene of an officer-involved accident that occurred on 1st Street.
Reports provided by authorities show that a California Highway Patrol officer and a civilian vehicle collided on the roadway near Eastern Avenue during the early morning hours. The incident prompted emergency crews to respond to the scene to provide assistance.
Area medics responded to care for the injured victims. The officer suffered injuries in the crash and had to be transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated at this time.
