Car Accidents in California
In California, hundreds of thousands of accidents are reported annually that leave victims with serious injuries. More than 56,000 of these accidents take place right here in Los Angeles County. The fact that we have so many people on the road increases the risk of accidents taking place every day. Unfortunately, many people involved in accidents are left with serious injuries that require extensive medical treatment.
In California, it is all too common to see victims left with spinal cord injuries, internal organ injuries, broken bones, and other serious injuries as a result of their accidents. There are many cases where victims have to go through both immediate and long-term care in the aftermath of their accidents. Dealing with painful physical and emotional injuries can be incredibly difficult.
In many cases, victims also face significant financial burdens related to their accidents. These come in the form of lost wages, medical expenses, vehicle repair costs, and even lost earning capacity, depending on the severity of injuries. Unfortunately, these and other financial burdens often make it difficult for families to move forward.
In California, victims have the legal right to sue the driver who caused them to harm for compensation. To recover compensation, a victim will need to demonstrate that negligence played a role in the accident.
