Rancho Cordova, CA (March 10, 2023) – One person was injured as a result of a car crash that took place on Wednesday afternoon in Rancho Cordova. The accident was reported to the California Highway Patrol troopers at around 12:50 p.m. on March 8.

According to authorities, a light rail train collided with a black Ford F150 pickup truck on Folsom Boulevard in the area of math or field road.

The impact of the crash pinned the pickup truck to a pole near the roadway.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for emergency care.

At this time, the California Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the accident
